Sandwich, Mass

Arrived at Sandwich Marina to wait for the current so we could go thru the Cape Cod Canal. Slack time is at 6:43 am,  so we'll be up bright and early to go thru the canal. The currents are very strong so vessels are highly recommended to go thru at slack time.
Sandwich is a nice little town with all the basics so lots of boats stop here before going thru the canal. It has a great Visitors Center showing complete details about the Cape Cod Canal, what a fantastic experience! Once again we learned how bad our history was. Going thru the Cape Cod Canal saves you 150 nautical miles and  20,000 ships go thru the canal a year and has huge recreation facilities for everyone.  Below is the view of the marina at sunset:
