Grenada

7/4 Heading to Grenada, should arrive late today! Arrived at Port Louis Marina in Grenada at 3:30 today, had a great SAIL all the way south.

7/7 We getting settled in our new home. This morning we took the dingy over to Grand Anse Beach "the granddaddy" of Grenada's 45 beaches. This two-mile stretch of creamy-white sand overlooks a sheltered, azure-hued bay where bright red and yellow fishing boats burst with color and is beautiful.
They even have goat wading:
7/10 Took an all day tour from Henry's Safari Tours to get the lay of the land in Grenada. Vaughn was our tour guide. He took us to see Concord Waterfall

the Caribs Leap Memorial, River Antoine Rum Distillery, the Nutmeg Factory and Lake Etang. Also drove thru the towns of Gouyave, Victoria, Sauteurs and Grenville. Grenada is also known as the "Island of Spice" because it is a leading producer of several different spices. Cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace, allspice, orange/citrus peels, wild coffee used by the locals, and especially nutmeg, providing 20% of the world supply, are all important exports. The nutmeg on the nation's flag represents the economic crop of Grenada. Below shows the nutmeg drying in the Nutmeg Factory:
